The editorial was about the Loa Loa parasite and the controlled dispensing of ivermectin (an anti-parasitic drug) given to the population without the risk of adverse side effects. An app was developed to determine whether it was safe to give an individual the drug, bringing down the overall population’s contraction of the parasite.
